Trent had promised to look for the father of a friend of Janey's who had disappeared after saying he was off to the race track.

However we have larger fish to fry, as someone posing as Violets M'Gee's "Aunt Sarah" caused him to recover from a coma. Then there is the small matter of two arms shipments ordered in the name of Trent Duxford Investigations which have ended up being used in the Irish Civil War in the newly formed Irish Republic.

Donelly and Trent visited Brains house and then hit the bars in Queens near the Aqueduct racetrack. Here they came across a girl named Maisie. She knew Brian and said that she met him the day he disappeared and that he was expecting to win big as fix was in.

We then headed to the racetrack to find out more and bumped into Jake, a pickpocket and friend of Brian.

Our investigations revealed that the whole thing was a spat between two bookies. Both were owed money by Brian and one bookie decided to get his money back by setting up Brian with his rival.

He let Brian know that Running Brave would beat the red hot favourite Lucky Lad. Brian placed the bet with the rival bookie using money from a loan shark.

When it came in he squared up with the bookies, but the Loan shark got greedy and wanted to know more about the fixes and grabbed Brian.

The Investigators spoke to "The Big Lettuce" and were directed to where the Loan shark hung out. Agreeing to pay $100 to the loan shark and after a brief altercation you managed to rescue Brian and bring him home to a grateful family.

Meanwhile, we had also been watching the hospital and had left Donelly watching the entrance in your truck while Irma and others spoke with the nurses again.

On Irma's return to the truck he found Donelly dozing in the cab. Also there was lots of activity in the hospital. They were on high alert as someone had tried to grab Violets M'Gee.

Donelly remembered nothing but it was not like him to fall asleep on watch, and foul play was suspected. Irma checked area and found a trail leading up the fire escape. Now awake Donelly spotted that there were two sets of footprints in the dusty steps, one barefoot and one booted.

Someone had tried to force open Violets M'Gee's window but they were heard and had to run away.

Police have doubled their guard and Violets seems safe but you all feel as if you are being watched. Not just near the hospital but at the track as well.
